Fitness is gaining new definitions beyond that of Body Building and Body Shaping. Andrew's preferred style of training is formed around performance and function in life and sport/ activities that take place outside of the gym environment.
Training individuals for functional movement efficiency through strength and conditioning that has a foundational effect for all athletic needs. Aims in personal training are to increase your work capacity and general fitness through diverse and unfamiliar physical challenges by using varied functional movement executed at relative high intensity. Resulting in not only the ability to perform more efficiently in life's daily physical and mental tasks also to increase strength and power ratios and change body composition.
Fitness and health should be developed through an integrated approach that offers diverse challenges. Fitness routines should develop the mental determination, functional strength, mobility and endurance needed for optimal performance in sport and in life.

Training Philosophy
As per the CrossFit World Class Fitness in 100 words:
"Eat meat and vegetables, nuts and seeds, some fruit, little starch and no sugar. Keep intake to levels that will support exercise but not body fat. Practice and train major lifts: Deadlift, clean, squat, presses, C&J, and snatch. Similarly, master the basics of gymnastics: pull-ups, dips, rope climb, push-ups, sit-ups, presses to handstand, pirouettes, flips, splits, and holds. Bike, run, swim, row, etc, hard and fast. Five or six days per week mix these elements in as many combinations and patterns as creativity will allow. Routine is the enemy. Keep workouts short and intense. Regularly learn and play new sports."
A broad spectrum of training modalities along with a sensible diet will get you heading towards your goal in a more effective manner. Find an exercise, skill or sport that you have never attempted before and train to become good at it. Apply yourself and the results will be yours. The ability to work hard is not talent, it is however the best substitute for it.
Surround yourself with people who share your passion and feed off each others energy and ideas. The journey is what makes the end result worthwhile."

Training Philosophy
"I believe that fitness training should be challenging but enjoyable. I like to keep the variety and intensity high and focus on executing the fundamentals correctly. A fitness program should be as simple as possible while still achieving the desired results, be they fat loss, muscle mass or simply and improved ability to deal with daily tasks."
